2022 – Annual General Meeting

The Chinook Emergency Response Society 2022 AGM will be held on December 6th.

Where: Grassy Plains Elementary School

When: 6:15 pm

Who:  Everyone is welcome.  Listen to updates on CERS activities for the year.   Learn how you can get involved and can help prepare yourself and your community for emergency situations.

FREE – S100 and S185 training

The Chinook Emergency Response Society received funding from the Burns Lake Community Forest to offer S100 and S185 training in the community.

May courses:

  • May 17-18 starting at 9:00 am
  • SEDA Centre
  • Items to bring
    • Work boots (does not have to be steel toe)
    • Gloves and eye protection
    • Suitable clothing for weather, could be wet , could be hot.
    • Lunch and water
    • Pen and paper
  • The second day will be mostly at outside at Indian Bay running pumps etc.

BCWFS Update – April 11, 2022

Category 2 and 3 open fire prohibition due to current and forecast weather conditions in parts of the Northwest Fire Centre (NWFC). The prohibition will take effect 12:00 noon Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on Friday, April 15,
2022 and includes the Nadina Fire Zone.
