The Chinook Emergency Response Society received funding from the Burns Lake Community Forest to offer S100 and S185 training in the community.

May courses:
- May 17-18 starting at 9:00 am
- SEDA Centre
- Items to bring
- Work boots (does not have to be steel toe)
- Gloves and eye protection
- Suitable clothing for weather, could be wet , could be hot.
- Lunch and water
- Pen and paper
- The second day will be mostly at outside at Indian Bay running pumps etc.
There will also be a courses in June – the dates have not been finalized yet. If you are interested contact cers.information@gmail.com

Category 2 and 3 open fire prohibition due to current and forecast weather conditions in parts of the Northwest Fire Centre (NWFC). The prohibition will take effect 12:00 noon Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on Friday, April 15,
2022 and includes the Nadina Fire Zone.
